Product Description

The Basic Concept of mounting Givi Motorcycle Luggage

MonoKEY Cases are for use on motorcycles and MonoLOCK Cases are for use on scooters and small motorcycles.

MonoKEY cases can be used as Top and/or Side Cases.
MonoLOCK cases can ONLY be used as Top Cases
In order to attach a Case to a bike, there has to be a Plate fixed to the bike onto which the Case can be attached.

For a Top Case, this Plate can be either:
a MonoKEY Plate (for MonoKEY Cases),
or a MonoLOCK Plate (for MonoLOCK Cases).

For Side Cases, the appropriate Bike-Specific Mounting already has the necessary MonoKEY Plate incorporated.

A MonoKEY case cannot be be fitted to a MonoLOCK Plate.\nA MonoLOCK case cannot be be fitted to a MonoKEY Plate.

The different Givi mounting systems

There are two basic mounting systems for attaching luggage to a bike. Some bike models will have both systems available, but most will have only one or the other.

The Separates System
Here, there are bike-specific mountings for a Top Case and separate bike-specific mountings for Side Cases.
Usually, the Top and Side mounts can be fitted to the bike individually, although there are some bikes where the Top Case mount needs to be present in order to then fit the Side Case mounts.

The Wingrack System.
This consists of a complete, single framework that in it's basic form accepts two Side Cases, but can also be configured to accept a Top Case as well as the two Side Cases.
