Hideout's new instore look
04/03/2013
Hideout has had a makeover! Thanks to Daddy Hideout, who left his sun lounger to help us, we have a brand new look in store. We have gone with a rustic theme in keeping with the barn that we are in. We used a blow torch on the wood to give a beautiful finish which shows off the clothing to perfection. We have also had a move around. A clearer sale area houses lots of ridiculous bargains all of which are well worth a rummage through. More space has been allocated to the new 2013 Halvarssons and Lindstands range. With over 32 different styles of textile trousers we have a new display area to show off their diversity. We are officially busting at the seams with a wide variety of goodies whic.. Read More

..The story of the Hideout Jacket
19/11/2012
'My leather jacket- the story so far..' By Simon Fellows
' I went to a motorcycle show i think in London in 1988 and there was a fella with long hair whom made racing leathers from Hideout Leather.
I asked him how much he'd charge for making me a jacket out of goatskin and i recall he said 250 pounds.
So some months later i went to Gwyder (??) St in Cambridge and he fitted me for it.
Picked it up and then its adventure really began.
It went to Australia with me in 1989 and was sent back by container to the UK.
I then spent 15 years doing primarily voluntary work and gave the jacket to my brother during my wanderings
I assumed it'd been lost in t..

..Hideout Xtreme suit put to the test
01/08/2012
Hi Kate, Sandra and all at Hideout, I recently had a 80mph+ crash at Snetterton on a trackday, and am pleased to tell you that thanks to my recently purchased Hideout suit (this spring) I didn't even have a bruise!! The suit had a little bit of scuffing which only needs minor attention.
To say I was chuffed would be an understatement.
Putting it in perspective, another rider fell in the morning in the same type of accident wearing "popular" leathers at low(ish) speed and by the afternoon he was aching badly and his suit was badly damaged. I walked away with no ill effects at all.
I would not hesitate to buy from you again or recommend you to friends..

Snetterton Racing – making history in British Motorsport
So, after two long years of liaison with the Auto Cycle Union, and working closely with Dave Stewart from Club Thundersport, I was finally given my ACU Road Race licence. It was therefore with excitement and intrepidation that I turned up at Snetterton racetrack on 22nd June for my first set of races over the weekend of 23rd and 24th. Colrai racing (in the form of Colin Groom) were going to be helping me for the weekend, as were Dave and Roz. The weather forecast didn’t look great, but that didn’t matter as I’ve ridden many times in the wet and knew I’d be fine. Scrutineerin..

7000 miles in a Hideout Hi-Pro Jacket
17/07/2012
SINGING IN THE RAIN (NOT THE FILM VERSION) OR 7,000 MILES OF DRY RIDING.
On the 3rd of April 2012, Kate Jennings of Hideout Leathers gave a two hour presentation on Hideout motorcycle clothing to the Herts. & Beds. Advanced Motorcycle Group, and very informative it was too. I was in the market for a new set of leathers, so was keen to hear what Kate had to say and to look over the range that she had brought along. I was and still am a committed leather suit man, so imagine my surprise when I realised that my attitude towards textile suits was turned absolutely on their head as Kate introduced Hideout’s new Hi-Pro textile suit, which has all the integrity of leather.. Cleaning Tips

Leather suits, jackets and trousers
- Remove any inner lining, where possible, and wash separately on a gentle cycle with a non bio detergent. Allow to dry naturally. If the lining doesn't come out, turn the garment inside out and spray with Fabrise or a fabric deodorizer, Storm do a good one.
- Clean the leather using a leather cleaner - we recommend Mustang Liquid or Foam Cleaner and a nylon bristled nail brush to lift out all the grime from the leather and allow to dry naturally.
- With a clean damp cloth and wipe off any residue from the cleaner.
- With a clean cloth, apply a hide food - this is a cream which pe.. Read More
